KKR VS SRH: 2nd consecutive loss for SRH

Sunrisers Hyderabad had gotten off to a solid start with David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan scoring 45 runs in the power-play. However, that's when KKR dried up the runs and reaped rewards with wickets.


15 April: Kolkata Knighr Riders maintained their clean sheet against against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens, handling them their 5th loss at the venue. Robin Uthappa 68(39) and Manish Pandey 46( 35) set to chase 173 runs to win on a dry surface, SRH could only manage to score 155 as Sunil Narine (1 for 18) and Kuldeep Yadav (1 for 23) spun a web around them to lead the team to a17 runs win on Saturday.

Kolkata Knight Riders have put batting first because opponent won the toss and elected to Bowl. So Kolkata Knight Riders should be need to set a winning total against Sunrisers Hyderabad to win this match. But they didn't got start well in the early innings, they score only 40 runs in power-play. But in the middle Rabin and Pandey played a good partnership and managed team reach 172 runs in their 20 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowler Ashish Nehra taken 3 wickets for 35 runs, Rashid  Khan and Ben Stokes one each.

Yuvarj Singh looked good during his innings of 26 from just 16 , but he was left with too much to do. Finally Sunrisers Hyderabad had managed to score 155/6 in 20 overs and lost the match by 17 runs. 

Two things turned the match in KKR's favour. the Uthappa- Pandey stand in the first innings and the middle overs choke by the bowlers in the chase. KKR moved top of the IPL points table with 3 win out of four games.
